Petrobras and Brazil’s innovation agency Finep have launched a call for proposals to develop a domestically produced, industrial-scale water electrolyzer for low‑carbon hydrogen. The move targets a key gap in Brazil’s supply chain: few local firms build electrolyzers today, and none manufacture the critical stack where water is split into hydrogen.
