Ames & Gough appointed Michele Lan and Rachelle Tucker as vice presidents in its Boston office to strengthen operations and client service amid a complex risk environment. Lan, with 30+ years of experience and a CRIS designation, oversees administrative, accounting, technology, and day-to-day office operations; she joined the firm in 2008. Tucker, also with nearly 30 years’ experience and AIS, CIC, and CRIS designations, leads complex commercial P&C brokerage, client strategy, and mentoring; she joined in 2014. COO Brett Gough cited their leadership in operational gains, technology advancement, exceptional client service, and team development.

With more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, Lan manages the Boston office’s administrative, accounting, technology and software platforms, overseeing day-to-day office operations, administrative staff, and workflow management. She is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, balancing workloads, supporting team members, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment. Prior to joining Ames & Gough in 2008, she was a commercial lines account manager for a Boston-based insurance agent. Earlier in her career, she served with a Norwell, MA-based insurance agency. She holds a Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist designation (CRIS) and attended Mt. Ida College.
Tucker brings nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience as a senior property & casualty broker, specializing in the management of complex commercial accounts. In addition to delivering strategic insurance and risk management solutions for clients, Tucker plays a key role in mentoring colleagues, providing training, and supporting the professional development of team members. She joined Ames & Gough in 2014 bringing extensive experience in both commercial and personal lines account management. She earned an associate degree in business administration from Fisher College and holds several insurance designations, including: Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS). She has been a member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women and is a former director of the Bristol Chapter.
