If this is HVO/SAF, the real choke points are hydrogen and feedstock cleanup. Are they revamping Mataripe with an SMR plus CO2 handling and a serious pretreat (gums/metals/phosphorus) so the NiMo beds don’t coke out early? We tried just 5% tallow co-processing and watched cycle length get cut in half.

Funding’s the easy part; the real fight is pretreatment and hydrogen. Bahia feedstocks swing in FFA and metals; spec redundant degum/bleach trains, robust guard beds, and interlock an online FFA/metals analyzer to auto cut back feed to save the hydrotreater. What’s the H2 plan (SMR, offgas reforming, or electrolysis), because it sets both uptime and CI.
