Manufacturers are prioritizing infrastructure visibility, cybersecurity, and operational readiness to advance modernization, AI initiatives and reduce hidden production risk

From the HVAC/BAS side, the biggest blockers I see for AI and modernization aren’t servers but OT hygiene: flat BACnet/IP, unmanaged switches, stale firmware, and unverified sensors. Do your IT/OT assessments cover BAS and utilities (chilled water, steam, compressed air) with checks for time sync, trend retention, and vendor remote access? AI won’t help if the loop DP sensor is 10% off and nothing’s alarming.
