1. About 4Engineers
4Engineers is a professional community platform designed for engineers to ask questions, share knowledge and experience, discuss ideas, participate in conversations and polls, and connect with other members of the engineering community.
4Engineers provides the Platform through its website and mobile applications. We do not provide engineering, legal, financial, safety, or other professional services through the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use 4Engineers.
By using the Platform, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into these Terms and that your use of the Platform does not violate applicable law.
3. Your Account
Certain features of 4Engineers require you to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep your account information reasonably up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You may not:
- Create an account using false or misleading information;
- Impersonate another person, company, or organization;
- Create an account for another person without authorization;
- Sell, transfer, or otherwise provide your account to another person without our permission; or
- Use another user’s account without authorization.

4. User Content
4Engineers allows users to create, submit, upload, publish, or share content, which may include posts, questions, answers, comments, poll responses, profile information, images, links, and other materials (“User Content”).
You Own Your Content
You retain ownership of the User Content you create and submit to 4Engineers.
By posting User Content, you grant 4Engineers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, and promote the Platform.
This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to 4Engineers.
You represent that you have the necessary rights to post the User Content you submit and that doing so does not violate the rights of another person or organization.
5. Confidential and Proprietary Information
4Engineers is a community platform. Content posted to public areas of the Platform may be viewed, shared, or discussed by other users.
You are responsible for ensuring that anything you post is appropriate to share.
Do not post confidential, proprietary, export-controlled, classified, trade secret, personally identifiable, or other restricted information that you do not have permission to disclose.
This includes confidential information belonging to your employer, client, customer, vendor, or another third party.
4Engineers is not responsible for a user’s unauthorized disclosure of confidential or proprietary information.
6. Engineering and Professional Information Disclaimer
Content available through 4Engineers may discuss engineering principles, designs, products, equipment, materials, processes, standards, calculations, troubleshooting, safety, or other technical subjects.
Content posted by users represents the views, knowledge, and experiences of those individual users. 4Engineers does not independently verify, approve, certify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, safety, or suitability of User Content.
Information obtained through 4Engineers should not be treated as a substitute for professional judgment, independent verification, applicable codes and standards, manufacturer instructions, site-specific analysis, or the services of a qualified professional.
You are responsible for evaluating information obtained through the Platform before relying on or applying it to a project, product, process, design, workplace, or other real-world situation.
Nothing posted on 4Engineers constitutes certification, approval, or endorsement of an engineering design, calculation, product, process, or professional decision by 4Engineers.
7. Community Standards and Acceptable Use
4Engineers is intended to support useful, professional conversations between members of the engineering community.
You may not use the Platform to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse another person;
- Post hateful, discriminatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content;
- Encourage violence, dangerous conduct, or illegal activity;
- Spam users or repeatedly post irrelevant promotional content;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- Post content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights;
- Publish another person’s private information without authorization;
- Distribute malware, malicious code, phishing attempts, or other harmful technology;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, accounts, servers, or systems;
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect Platform data or user information without authorization;
- Manipulate Platform features, engagement, voting, polls, or other functionality through automated or deceptive means;
- Use bots or automated systems to access or interact with the Platform without our authorization; or
- Use 4Engineers for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
8. Moderation and Enforcement
4Engineers may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, our community standards, applicable law, or the safety and integrity of the Platform.
Users may be able to report content or other users they believe violate these Terms.
Depending on the circumstances, we may issue warnings, remove content, restrict Platform functionality, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts.
We are not obligated to monitor every piece of User Content and cannot guarantee that objectionable or inaccurate content will never appear on the Platform.
9. Blocking and Reporting
4Engineers may provide tools that allow users to report content and block or restrict interactions with other users.
Misuse of reporting features, including knowingly submitting false or abusive reports, may itself violate these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content and third-party materials, the 4Engineers Platform, including its name, logos, branding, software, interface, design, graphics, features, and original content, is owned by or licensed to 4Engineers LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of any 4Engineers intellectual property.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or exploit our Platform or intellectual property except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
11. Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights.
If you believe content available through 4Engineers infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at grace@4engineers.com with sufficient information for us to identify and evaluate the material at issue.
We may remove allegedly infringing content and may restrict or terminate accounts of repeat infringers when appropriate.
12. Third-Party Content and Links
The Platform may contain links to websites, products, services, articles, videos, or other resources provided by third parties.
4Engineers does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, or services.
Accessing third-party resources is at your discretion and may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
13. Advertising and Sponsored Content
4Engineers may display advertisements, sponsored content, promoted content, or other commercial materials.
The presence of advertising or sponsored content does not necessarily constitute an endorsement by 4Engineers of the advertiser, product, service, or claims being made.
Additional disclosures may appear with sponsored or promotional content where appropriate.
14. Mobile Applications
When accessing 4Engineers through an application downloaded from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another application marketplace, your use may also be subject to the applicable marketplace’s terms and policies.
Apple, Google, and other application marketplace providers are not responsible for the content of 4Engineers or for providing support or maintenance for the Platform except as required by their own terms or applicable law.
15. Account Suspension, Termination and Deletion
You may stop using 4Engineers at any time.
You may request deletion of your account using the account deletion functionality made available through 4Engineers.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that the user has violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for 4Engineers or others, or engaged in conduct harmful to the Platform or its community.
Account termination may result in loss of access to your account and associated Platform features.
16. Changes to the Platform
4Engineers is an evolving service. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of the Platform.
We do not guarantee that every feature will always remain available or operate without interruption.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
4Engineers does not warrant that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from harmful components, or that information available through the Platform will always be accurate, complete, reliable, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Your use of the Platform and reliance on content available through it are at your own risk.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 4Engineers LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform.
This includes damages arising from reliance on User Content, loss of data, loss of business, unauthorized access, interactions with other users, or inability to access the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 4Engineers LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your User Content, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of another person’s rights.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the applicable laws and jurisdiction of the State of Texas.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform, our practices, or applicable requirements change.
When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Platform, by email, or by another appropriate method.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page identifies when these Terms were most recently revised.
