Scaling MR casting and hardcoat lines makes the HVAC and controls a bear: keeping molds within ±0.5°C and rooms at ±2% RH while managing solvent exhaust without crushing energy use. Any details on VOC abatement and utility design, like RTO sizing, chilled-water and reheat loads, or a shift to low‑solvent coatings to cut makeup air?

High-index is nice for thinner RX safety lenses, but in the field we still default to polycarbonate for Z87+ impact and coatings that survive grime and heat. Do MR-10/MR-174 pass high-velocity impact at practical center thicknesses, and how do their hard/anti-fog coatings hold up against DEET, hydrocarbons, and 60°C washdowns? If this expansion cuts cast-cure lead times for prescription safety orders, that would actually move the needle for us.

Hope the capacity bump is matched with better packaging and logistics - MR polythiourethane monomers are unforgiving with moisture and oxygen. We’ve cut yellowing and off-index lots by specifying nitrogen-blanketed IBCs, dry-break couplers, and 20 - 25°C jacketed storage; a returnable, pre-dried tote program would help lens makers as volumes rise.
