Licensing is the easy checkbox; the real risk is Canadian feedstock variability and -30°C operations. What’s the plan for ash/alkali and chlorides in gasification (to protect FT/MeOH catalysts) and winterized solids handling: moisture swings, freeze-thaw, hopper bridging, and do they have 5,000+ hour runs on forestry residues to prove uptime?

Are they going gasification+FT or ATJ? If it’s gasification, BC forestry residues come wet and dirty - high moisture plus alkali/Cl will ruin hot-gas filters and exchangers unless you go wet cleanup - and the hydrotreater needs a defined H2 source (on-site SMR/ATR vs. imported green H2) or the CI and OPEX won’t pencil.
