We keep a ~$120 WBGT meter in the plant and use it to trigger work/rest cycles and electrolyte breaks; it takes the guesswork out when the heat index jumps. A small shade tent and a cooler with ice towels near the chipper beats hiking back to the AC and has kept a few of our folks from tipping over.
