By combining IIoT connectivity, MES/MOM, analytics/AI, and digital twins on cloud–edge architectures, these platforms provide end-to-end visibility, faster changeovers, predictive maintenance, and digital traceability. Composable, low-code applications and open standards/APIs let manufacturers integrate legacy assets, scale solutions quickly, and standardize best practices across sites, while built-in governance and cybersecurity protect operations. The payoff is greater flexibility and resilience: quicker responses to supply disruptions, improved quality and OEE, and smoother execution of circular and sustainable processes.
