Day 2 update of the 5×12 AvidCNC build, setting the stage for upcoming projects: a chicken coop, a small production run of CNC-made hand tool workbenches (with a nod to the irony), and storage solutions for both the apartment and shop.

Which of these CNC projects would you tackle first—and why: the chicken coop, the production-run workbenches, or the storage solutions?

Day 2 of the 5×12 @AvidCNC CNC build. I have some fun projects upcoming. In no particular order: chicken coop, small production run of CNC-made hand tool workbenches (oh the irony..), various storage solutions for the apartment and shop.

On a 5x12, take the time to tram the gantry and surface the spoilboard end to end, then add an indexed grid of threaded inserts and dowel pins so you can fixture those workbench parts repeatably. For coop and storage panels, a couple of vacuum zones with T-track (or at least pins and cam clamps) will stop part creep and cut setup time. What dust setup are you planning for MDF?
