TYLin announced in July the promotion of John Reinhardt to associate vice president and New York and Northeast practice manager for City Solutions/Urban Planning within the firm’s Advisory and Planning practice. Reinhardt will partner with clients to help address complex challenges through innovative, data-driven solutions that advance mobility; resilient infrastructure; environmental sustainability; effective communications and outreach; and the strategic use of technology.

“John brings clarity, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of the New York and Northeast markets to this role at an especially exciting time for transportation in the region,” said TYLin Senior Vice President and National Practice Leader Stacey Meekins. “He will lead a talented team of creative and innovative planners and engineers as they deliver tailored solutions that bridge relationships between clients and the communities they serve.”

“The Northeast is home to some of the world’s most dynamic and complex cities and suburbs—making once-in-a-generation investments in transportation and infrastructure,” said Reinhardt. “I’m honored to bring together the region’s most talented planners, engineers, data scientists, and community engagement specialists to help our clients shape more resilient, connected, and livable places.”

Since joining TYLin in 2014, Reinhardt has held a number of increasingly senior positions in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Villanova University and a master’s degree in city planning and urban design from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds leadership and strategy certificates from Harvard University, Cornell University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. He serves on the President’s Advisory Council for the Boys & Girls Club of Queens and the Recent Scholars Committee for the Leopold Schepp Foundation.
